Run
Sep-30 2022 bunsontherun 1.0kmLondon, UK Run Walk to the hotel after getting off Underground. Had to walk extra as I had not had at least 1 Km yet.
Sep-30 2022 bunsontherun 6.5kmLondon, UK Run After leaving Prezzo Restaurant Audra, Wilma and I decided to do a little walk, but we ended up going way off track and doing more walking than we expected to do. But a good evening of exploration regardless.
Sep-30 2022 bunsontherun 1.7kmLondon, UK Run Walking to Prezzo Restaurant from Intercontinental Park Hotel with Wilma and Audra to have dinner with Calgary Reservoir Peeps here for run as well except again forgot to start watch for walk. With Kerri and Sean Barr, Lillian and Doug Fairbairn, Sheila and Peter Leigh, Jan Veniot, Audra Kanski and Wilma Kosik.
Sep-29 2022 bunsontherun 1.3kmLondon, UK Run Forgot to start watch until just before the Green Park Underground Station. Taking underground to the London Marathon Run Expo at Excel Centre.
Oct-1 2022 bunsontherun 4.1kmLondon, UK Run Walked to Green Park Underground Station to catch train to Westminster Station to go to the Churchill War Rooms. After that tour, walked with Wilma for her to look for consignment stores. Then walked to Victoria Underground to take train back to Green Park Underground Station and then walk back to Hotel.
Oct-3 2022 bunsontherun 2.5kmEdinburgh, Scotland Run A nice walk to check out Edinburgh and to get something to eat. Walking the hills were a bit of a chore but needed to get the legs moving to get rid of some stiffness.
Oct-2 2022 bunsontherun 42.2kmTCS London Marathon Run Started running with the 6 hour Pacer who was doing 30 secs run and 30 secs walk. Stayed with them until about 18 km when I could not hold the pace as I was having the start of some knee and shin pain. Ended up doing a lot of walking and taking a couple of naproxen to alleviate the pain. I was then able, in about the last 5 km of the marathon. to start doing some run/walks to the finish line. However, my Garmin showed that I had ran the 42.2 but the course was showing only at the 40 km mark. A little demoralizing as I was approaching the final bits of the marathon. But at the finish line all was fine when I received my London Marathon Medal and most importantly, my Abbott Six Star medal for completing all 6 major marathons!
