Run A little more walking then running and I blame it on what I was listening to on Spotify. Normally Conan O'Brien needs a friend is comical and fun, but the interview with Goldie Hawn was a much more serious and interesting fare. As I did not want to miss too much, I spent more time focusing on listening rather than concentrating on my run. After run had social visits with three groups, including Jan V who was proudly wearing her Boston Marathon 5 K Community Run Medal, Boston Marathon Medal and now her Abbott 6 Star Medal.

Run I was a little exhausted in this run after doing circuit training class yesterday morning and a walk in the afternoon. Further both my knees were a little sore and I could not shake it off. Oh well, still got out for a workout.

Mentally great, physically so-so. Tough month with health issues: serious cold-turned sinus infection (still recovering) and SIJ issues. Could feel a little tightness in left side today, but not too bad.

Scoliosis causing SIJ issues. In early Sept., had some pelvic clicking, occasional deep pelvic movement with a 'thunk' in sacrum region then could feel SIJ stuck. Day-to-day movement painful (and a little scary, to be honest) for a couple of weeks until things seemed to stabilize. (Moving large furniture outside for our moving sale probably did not help this issue, either.)

Unfortunately, early symptoms present as minor random and seemingly inexplicable piriformis, glute, quad, thigh, and hip flexor issues. Some tailbone tightness, too. Need to remember at the earliest onset of any of this on the left side, to simply take a break before the SIJ gets really stuck. Easier said than done, of course...especially after so many setbacks and just getting into the groove again.

Going to start a little regimen of stretches for scoliosis, along with some inversion table therapy. Will also try a little functional strength training. One of these days, I'll get this figured out. Need to keep looking at these setbacks as an opportunity to be more mindful, exercise patience, not take anything for granted, and to search in new directions for solutions.

Hard rolling out of bed this morning (what happened to the early morning light? sigh). This felt remarkably good despite a strong morning wind. Back felt fine. Felt a few twinges in left glute.
